Andrew Pitts, DO

Dr. Pitts is a board-certified pediatrician with a long history of caring for children in urgent care and emergency departments in Denver and Cincinnati.  Originally from Texas, he spent much of his childhood visiting Colorado with his family for summer and winter vacations.  He received his Bachelor of Arts in Biology from Texas A&M University and his medical degree from the University of New England.  After completing his pediatric Residency at Akron Children's Hospital in 2009, he moved to the Children's Hospital of Colorado to work in the Emergency Department and the Network of Care at Children's.  During his time at Children's Colorado, he served as Medical Director of both the Children's Wheat Ridge and North Campus Urgent Care departments.  He has also worked in the Emergency Department and Urgent Care of Cincinnati Children's Hospital during his pediatric career.  In March 2026, Dr. Pitts joined The Pediatric Center.

As a pediatrician, one of the greatest rewards is witnessing children's growth, development, and their emerging interests.  Dr. Pitts focuses on building collaborative relationships with his patients and their families, fostering open communication, questions, and ongoing discussions about treatment choices.

Dr. Pitts has two children and enjoys spending time with his family, traveling all over the world, watching various sports, and camping.  Dr. Pitts is excited to be part of the Boulder community at The Pediatric Center.
