Dr. Tanney

  • Diana Tanney

Dr. Diana Tanney relocated from northern California in 2006. She and her family were attracted to Boulder by its smaller size, natural setting, opportunities for outdoor adventure, and friendly community.

Dr. Tanney is a Board-certified pediatrician with many years of clinical pediatric experience. She received her medical degree from the University of California at Irvine, completed pediatric internship and residency training at the Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles, and then pursued advanced training as a fellow in pediatric kidney diseases at the Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles, and the University of California at San Francisco. She has worked at Stanford University Medical Center, Kaiser Permanente in Northern California, and in private practice in Broomfield, Colorado. She is happy now to be working in Boulder as part of The Pediatric Center and to be on staff at Boulder Community Hospital.

Dr. Tanney approaches her role as a pediatrician with a healthy dose of respect for the knowledge and intuition of parents. She understands the anxieties and stresses of raising children, as well as the desire of all families to be healthy and successful. Dr. Tanney strives to involve her patients and their families in the medical decision-making process, while at the same time providing expertise and guidance.

Dr. Tanney lives with her husband, a musician, and their beautiful daughter. They have two dogs and a guinea pig. She enjoys hiking, traveling, reading, and all things chocolate.
